Excellent description of proper Jungian integration. The key in the process is to decenter the ego, found yourself in what's hidden, marry it. The image of being oneself's best friend is powerful and true, well done.
This was so lovely to read, and deeply resonated with me. I often find that the feeling of fear (or anxiety) itself is worse than the actual event. Sometimes we dread things, just for the moment to come and it’s not even that bad, we wasted all that time stressing for nothing. Definitely still working on overcoming some of my fears, but this was so encouraging to read. Thank you💛
thank you for this! love the idea of befriending our fear instead of literally fearing it. There is a lot of noteworthy quotes in the essay, I wrote down „fear is a spotlight on our desires“ as it reminds me of one of my fav quotes „where your fear is, there is your task“ but with less have-to pressure 🫶
This was a lovely read!! Thank you for recommending it to me!! I love the idea of befriending the fear instead of fearing fear!! Really well written...I never let fear stop me...but I have never thought of befriending it either!! Great post!! Defiantly food for though!! 💓💓💓
Felt this a little extra today as I today marks the day of my first post here on substack. It feels scary but also very liberating, and exciting to something I’ve always wanted to do!
I love this idea. Asking ourselves what is behind the fear and what the fear is trying to help us with. Also, fear being not a caution or warning but confirmation we’re walking the right path, a green light rather than a sign to stop or give up. Lots of food for thought and I’m here for it.

Continuing our sharing and healing.
Fear shows up when they realize they are about to get roasted, for all they’ve done plotting vengeance for years.
Fear doesn’t walk alone, head high, and ignorant to their insecurity masked as loyalty, and their crimes masked as love.
Sayonara to the fearful. You had a nice life.
Beautiful! I love this!
